When You See the Same Post Repeated On My Blog One-Right-After-the-Other

Sometimes, you may see the same post repeated 2, 3, 4 times, or more consecutively in my blog. The reason for that is because Blogger is sometimes sooooooooo %$#%^&*()*&*&^*%&%((*^(%*&^*%)*&^)*&^!!!!!!!! slow publishing, that, when I need to do something else, or go somewhere, and Blogger is taking forever to publish, I sometimes hit the Publish and Save As Draft button 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 times to try to jog it into action.

Of course, it is irrational to do that, since the computer will publish it, or save it as a draft, as many times as you tell it to, but there you are: irrational man in a hurry meets ramshackle, over-loaded Blogger software that takes 15 minutes to publish a single-sentence blog entry.

I mention that now because I just deleted 25 identical drafts and 3 published versions of Thursday's foxhunting piece.

Also Happy To See Saint Dominic Back

Saint Dominic, a detail from The Mocking of Christ by Blessed Fra Angelico has been missing from his rightful place above my links for the last week or so. That is because the link comes from Catholic Forum's Saints' Galleries, and these seem to have been down lately. But they appear to have just popped back inot operation today.

Shanley Sentenced To 12-15 Years

The prosecution wanted life.

At age 74, assuming he begins serving his sentence right away, he will be ineligible for parole until age 82. That should be good enough. And he has 10 years of probation after that.

God grant peace of mind to those he d, and better times for the Church whose authority he so grossly abused.

Blogger Is Having Some Major Problem

Over the last few days, whenever I try to go from the Blogger Dashboard to the Posting Screen, it is like watching the little engine that couldn't. I click it, asnd wait 3, 4. 5, even 10 minutes for the Posting Screen. Sometimes, I find that if I just keep clicking the mouse 40-80 times, it will come up, sometimes not.

That problem, which I think they call latency, needs to be fixed.

Caught My Eye

Dale Price at Dyspeptic Mutterings started a piece on the 106th Division and the Battle of the Bulge.

Saint Valentine's Day

Lots of good information about the saint and the Catholic customs associated with this day.

Sister Lucia of Fatima Dead

Sister Lucia, the last of the Fatima witnesses, died yesterday at the age of 97.
V. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
R. And may perpetual light shine upon her.
V. May she rest in peace.
R. Amen.

I have little doubt that Our Lady will protect and guard the soul of her faithful servant.
