Holy Name Of Mary
This feast honoring Our Blessed Lady was fixed for September 12th to mark the victory of Jan Sobieski in lifting the Siege of Vienna by the Turks on September 11, 1683.
Coffee and croissants are traditional as the croissant was developed in celebration of the victory, and Sobieski's army was able to capture the Turks' supply of coffee. Thus my 5-day a week breakfast was born!
